The Velectrix Ascent 27.5 is a hub-drive adventure electric mountain bike that steps up the Ascent range with larger 27.5" wheels, 100 mm of suspension travel, and Shimano 8-speed gearing — delivering a more capable, versatile, and confident trail package for cross-country rides and family adventures. Built around a lightweight aluminium mountain bike frame in small sizing, the Ascent 27.5 pairs a VelectriX suspension fork with 100 mm of travel for a smooth, controlled ride on rugged trails and uneven city streets. An alloy MTB handlebar with 31.8 mm clamp and 680 mm width, Promax alloy 80 mm stem, and 30.9 mm quick-release seatpost complete a trail-ready, comfortable cockpit setup.
Power comes from the VelectriX RX1 250 W 36 V rear hub motor delivering 45 Nm of torque, paired with a Reention Bee 378 Wh 10.5 Ah 36 V battery for up to 50 km of range per full charge. A cadence sensor drives 4 levels of pedal assistance from low to high, while the Kingmeter KM3209 LCD display provides real-time speed, battery level, and assistance mode data to keep you informed and in control on every ride. The included 3A 36 V smart charger tops the battery up in a maximum of 5 hours.
Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes deliver precise, reliable stopping power in all weather conditions, while Shimano 8-speed gearing provides smooth, dependable shifts across a wider range of gradients than the Ascent 24. Alloy double wall 27.5" 36-hole wheels with 13-gauge stainless steel black spokes are paired with Kenda Booster 27.5" x 2.2" tyres for unbeatable traction and stability on mixed surfaces — fast rolling and secure in grip whether on rugged trails or city streets.
A kickstand is included as standard, making the Ascent 27.5 ready to ride straight out of the box. At 23.5 kg including battery, with a maximum rider weight of 110 kg and an optional rear rack supporting up to 25 kg of luggage, the Ascent 27.5 is a capable, confidence-inspiring adventure e-bike built for the whole family.

Do sales come with a warranty?
Yes — all sales include a 12-month parts warranty. Labour time is not included, but we’re always happy to assist with service and repairs and can work with our suppliers for after sales support to ensure you feel safe and secure on your new wheels.
Do I need to book a test ride?
No bookings required — just drop in!
We’ll help you test ride multiple bikes or discuss options that suit your needs.Tip: Call ahead or message us first to confirm availability of the specific model you’re after.
What bike styles do you stock?

How much do your bikes cost?
- New e-bikes: from $1,500

All bikes are fully supported and serviceable by our in-house mechanics.
Can I ride home the same day?
Yes! If your bike is in stock, we’ll assemble and prep it so you can ride straight out the door upon payment.
What’s the battery range per charge?
Between 30 – 115 km depending on:
- Battery size (9 Ah – 17 Ah)
- Rider weight
- Terrain and riding style

High torque or low torque — what’s the difference?
- High torque: better hill climbing and carrying heavier loads

Do you ship?
Yes — we deliver locally across Sydney and can ship nationally for a delivery fee.
We also partner with supporting stores across Australia to assist with assembly where possible.

Absolutely. Our mechanics have 15 + years’ experience and are among the most qualified in the country.
Do you offer after-sale support?
Yes — your first service is free!
