The Velectrix Ascent 29 is the most capable model in the Ascent hub-drive adventure range — a full-size 29" electric mountain bike built for cross-country riders who want a more powerful motor, wider-range gearing, and a larger battery in a trail-ready package. Built around a lightweight aluminium mountain bike frame available in medium and large sizing, the Ascent 29 pairs a VelectriX suspension fork with 100 mm of travel for a smooth, controlled ride on rugged trails and uneven terrain. An alloy MTB handlebar with 31.8 mm clamp and 680 mm width, Promax alloy 90 mm stem, and 30.9 mm quick-release seatpost complete a comfortable, trail-focused cockpit setup.
Power comes from the Bafang G120 250 W 36 V rear hub motor delivering 45 Nm of torque — a step up in motor quality from the Ascent 27.5 — paired with a Reention Mini Eel 417 Wh 11.6 Ah 36 V battery for up to 50 km of range per full charge. A cadence sensor drives 5 levels of pedal assistance from low to high — one more level than the Ascent 24 and 27.5 — while the Kingmeter KM3209 display provides real-time speed, battery level, and assistance mode data on every ride. The included 3A 36 V smart charger tops the battery up in a maximum of 5 hours.
Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes deliver precise, reliable stopping power in all weather conditions, while Shimano Cues 9-speed gearing with an included shift sensor provides smooth, dependable shifts across a wide range of gradients on any terrain. Alloy double wall 29" 36-hole wheels with 13-gauge stainless steel black spokes are paired with Kenda Aptor 29" x 2.35" tyres for fast rolling, excellent obstacle clearance, and confident grip on mixed trail surfaces.
A kickstand is included as standard, making the Ascent 29 ready to ride straight out of the box. At 23.5 kg including battery, with a maximum rider weight of 110 kg and an optional rear rack supporting up to 25 kg of luggage, the Ascent 29 is the most trail-capable and versatile adventure e-bike in the Velectrix Ascent range.

Do sales come with a warranty?
Yes — all sales include a 12-month parts warranty. Labour time is not included, but we’re always happy to assist with service and repairs and can work with our suppliers for after sales support to ensure you feel safe and secure on your new wheels.
Do I need to book a test ride?
No bookings required — just drop in!
We’ll help you test ride multiple bikes or discuss options that suit your needs.Tip: Call ahead or message us first to confirm availability of the specific model you’re after.

How much do your bikes cost?

All bikes are fully supported and serviceable by our in-house mechanics.
Can I ride home the same day?
Yes! If your bike is in stock, we’ll assemble and prep it so you can ride straight out the door upon payment.
What’s the battery range per charge?
Between 30 – 115 km depending on:
- Battery size (9 Ah – 17 Ah)
- Rider weight
- Terrain and riding style

High torque or low torque — what’s the difference?

Yes — we deliver locally across Sydney and can ship nationally for a delivery fee.
We also partner with supporting stores across Australia to assist with assembly where possible.

Do you offer after-sale support?
Yes — your first service is free!
